Dalry West End F C
Secondary Juveniles after 1936 when the age limit was changed to under 21 years
(probably the reason Blair, Bluebell and St Palladius became defunct, as there was
no age limit before 1936). Sam Smith ran this team, formed about 1937 after the rule
change; played in the Public Park; blue shirts, white shorts
Photo taken at Springside before a Cup Final match in which West End were winners

Back Row: Tom Allan, Dan Cairnie, Cameron Sanders, John Niven, Jimmy Kerr, John Lowe
Front Row: Billy Morrow, Jack McInnes, Alex McAvoy, Alex McKay, Alex McCallum.

Jock McConnell and Robert Walker, not pictured, also played for the team. McAvoy
and Niven were not local, hailing from Saltcoats or Stevenston. Most of this team
played for junior sides later and Robert Walker (Aberdeen) and Jack McInnes (Partick
Thistle) played for senior clubs.
